How we want to
make change?
Equip & Mobilize
Equip, train, and coach those who are involved in the life of a child/teen who has experienced trauma and create a TBRI© (Trust Based Relational Intervention) Collaborative.
Mobilize the community to provide & coordinate resources to support families impacted by the foster care system or those at risk of being impacted by the foster care system.
Immediate Assistance
Make sure foster kids/teens, social workers, and caregivers are well supported within the first 24-48 hours of a new placement
Create a centralized Foster Care Closet
Have a house for DSS to use during the placement transition.
Meet needs of families BEFORE foster care placement is necessary
Accessible Resources
Partner with public, private, and faith-based partners to provide and coordinate resources to reduce duplication of services
Rally "the Church" to create a network of support for families
Serve as a HUB of resources for families, caretakers and social workers
Ongoing Support
Make sure foster kids/teens, social workers, and caregivers are well supported beyond placement
Coordinate events to offer respite to caregivers and acts of kindness to encourage social workers
Provide support groups, mentorship, and trauma informed trainings for caregivers
Offer post-adoption support
